Basebot build instructions
You should build the Robot Educator robot shown on this page: https://education.lego.com/en-us/support/mindstorms-ev3/building-instructions. First build the Driving Base robot, then add the Color Sensor (Down), Gyro Sensor, and the Ultrasonic Rangefinder by following the instructions in each of the corresponding files.
Adding missing sensors
Download the blocks
The EV3 software may not include the gyro and ultrasonic rangefinder blocks. If that’s the case you have to install them separately. To do that, download them from here: https://www.lego.com/en-us/mindstorms/downloads. Scroll down the page and download the gyro sensor block and the ultrasonic sensor blocks.
Install the blocks
In the EV3 software click on the Tools menu, then Block Import. From there, select the downloaded blocks. After importing, exit the EV3 software and restart it. The blocks will appear in the palette under Sensors.
